Rhythm in every step

Kathak isn't just about the perfect spin; it's about the discipline of practice. Every afternoon after fifth-grade science, I trade my school bag for my ankle bells, focusing on complex tatkar footwork and hand gestures.

My guru teaches me how to connect rhythm with expression. It takes hours of focus, but hearing the ghungroos strike in perfect unison with the tabla makes every single minute worth it.
